Rings of light
YANO is the perfect mix of playfulness and precision. The luminaire consists of two separately suspended rings, which can be continuously adjusted between 30 cm and 1.6 m extension length via cable windings hidden in the canopy. The distance between the rings is variable. In the narrowest setting, the rings nestle into one another and merge to form a common shape of light. The slightly smaller, lower ring illuminates the area below the luminaire, while the upper one uses the ceiling as a reflective surface and thus serves as an indirect light source.

Intuitive lighting control
YANO can be controlled directly on the light using hand gestures. Each of the two rings has its own control module. With gesture control, the direction of movement and position of the hand are detected by a sensor within a detection range of 10 centimeters. The respective light ring is switched on or off with a simple hand movement. If the hand remains over the sensor for a long time, the dimming function is activated and the brightness can be regulated. External light or signals from infrared remote controls are no problem for the sensor and do not affect the function in any way.

App control
Alternatively, YANO can also be controlled via the Casambi app. Casambi is a smart home standard based on Bluetooth and optimized for controlling light. Operation via Casambi works in parallel to gesture control, and here too the light of each of the rings can be switched and dimmed separately. In addition, any light scenes can be defined for both rings, e.g. "lower ring 30%, upper ring 100% brightness" or "lower ring on, upper ring off". As an alternative to control via app, programmable wall buttons are also available as accessories.

Adjustable light color
With YANO, the light color of the rings can be continuously adjusted between 2200 K and 5000 K. The lowest value creates the lighting atmosphere of a candlelight dinner (but without candle flickering). An average value of around 3000 K corresponds roughly to the light of a classic halogen lamp. Higher values from 4000 K ensure a somewhat cooler, stimulating lighting atmosphere, which is perceived as ideal for all kinds of work.

By the way, this technology is also called "tunable white" - at YANO it is controlled via Casambi. Here, too, the desired value can be selected separately for each ring.

Color rendering >90
State-of-the-art LEDs with a color rendering index of Ra> 90 are used in all light modules. This makes colors look particularly natural in the light of the luminaire.
