WEE
EUDirective 2012/19/EU (WEEE = Waste of Electrical and Electronic Equipment) This directive regulates bindingly for all member states of the European Union how waste from electrical and electronic equipment is to be avoided or reduced through reuse, recycling and other forms of recovery. The contents of this directive are implemented in Germany via the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG).

Packaging-Recycling
EU Directive 94/62/EU (Packaging Directive) This directive regulates bindingly for all member states of the European Union how waste from packaging is to be avoided and reduced through take-back, recycling and other forms of recovery.

To implement the requirements of the directive, the packaging materials of OLIGO Lichttechnik GmbH are registered with INTERSEROH GmbH (www.interseroh.com) under the manufacturer number 97934 and are returned to the material cycle via their take-back system.


REACH und RoHS
EU-Richtlinie 1907/2006/EU (REACH = Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation and Restriction of Chemicals) This directive regulates bindingly for all member states of the European Union that only chemical substances that have been notified in advance may be placed on the market.

EU-Richtlinie 2011/65/EU (RoHS = Restriction of Hazardous Substances) This directive regulates bindingly for all member states of the European Union which hazardous substances may be used and placed on the market in which concentration in electrical and electronic equipment.

The products of OLIGO Lichttechnik GmbH do not contain any substances that do not comply with the requirements of the REACH Directive or any hazardous substances whose concentration exceeds the requirements of the RoHS Directive.


Ecodesign Directive and energy consumption labeling
EU-Richtlinie 2019/2020/EU (Ökodesign-Richtlinie) This directive is binding for all member states of the European Union to reduce the environmental impact of energy-related light sources and separate operating devices, taking into account the entire life cycle.
The EU-Verordnung 2021/341/EU applies in addition.

The OLIGO Lichttechnik GmbH products relevant to this directive contain light sources that cannot be replaced by end users or qualified persons. Nevertheless, these light sources can be removed by the supervisory authorities for testing purposes and at the end of their service life.

EU-Verordnung 2019/2015/EU (Energy labeling for light sources) This regulation sets out binding rules for all member states of the European Union on how energy-related light sources must be labeled to make it easier for end users to compare them. EU Regulation 2021/340/EU applies in addition.

The products of OLIGO Lichttechnik GmbH that are relevant within the meaning of this directive may no longer be labeled with an energy efficiency label in accordance with the directive. However, the energy efficiency class of the light source used must be indicated in the operating and installation instructions or a reference to the light source used must be included in the operating and installation instructions.

Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights (United Nations Framework) These Guiding Principles are based on the recognition of the existing obligations of states to respect, protect and ensure human rights and fundamental freedoms, the role of business enterprises to comply with all applicable law and to respect human rights, and the need to provide adequate and effective remedies for rights and obligations when they are violated. The Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG) of the Federal Republic of Germany applies in addition.

The products of OLIGO Lichttechnik GmbH are manufactured in accordance with the guiding principles set out by the Special Representative of the United Nations Secretary-General in the annex to his report to the Human Rights Council (A/HRC/17/31)
